And you could also create a participatory counting system where all voters could come and ensure proper functioning.

@benroyce @jawarajabbi It’s simple, it’s the system we use in France. It is the town halls that are in charge of running the polling stations, and all citizens are free to check that they are functioning properly.
The counting is done manually with the help of the citizens. To open an envelope and read the bulletin, it is done in the presence of 4 people: 2 citizens and 2 assessors sent by the different political parties.
It may seem long, but once the rhythm is set, we can go quite quickly.
