And because of that it comes from that old outdated mindset. Since fascism fundamentally broke that by being a reactionary force that also opposes the status quo. While conservatism believes in preserving the status quo and is elitist. You will find right wing ideologies before fascism were elitist rather than populist.. such as things like monarchism and all that.

Essentially a fascist wants to tear down the status quo to create a new regenerated ultra Nation while a conservative wants to preserve the status quo
