Why are people on #iOS / #macOS (including myself!) so stuck on Ivory as their fedi client by the way? It's so broken.
Just Ivory on macOS alone:
- Constantly gets confused about its navigation state
- Has really borked video playback
- Its swipe gesture handler is so custom it breaks all the time and has no support for my other mouse
- No support for back buttons on a mouse
- Doing things like CMD + F takes fckn ages to actually have an effect on the UI

@Skye I'm using Tusker. But only on iOS. I've used IceCubes before but although it's FOSS I'm not using it anymore because the main dev is a bit too ai-ridden for my taste.
Tusker is "open source", but not under an OSI approved license and doesn't allow for PRs and such sadly. I hope, they'll change that at some point.
@der_schrank Ice cube's guy got scooped up by OpenAI afaik so yeah... that tracks.
@Skye I'm developing a client in Godot as a pet project. It's nice because easy multiplatform and Godots UI features are really powerful. But it's quite a huge load of stuff to implement. I honestly underestimated that.
@sigsegv yeah, the guy building ice cubes just got hired by OpenAI tho, so I don't expect much good to come for that client in the future :/
