The small stretch of sunny days didn’t last long. We’re back to raw, wet, ugly weather, so I needed some ugly music.

A legendary collection of late #70s “no wave” music produced by the great Brian Eno.

Four bands, sixteen songs. All pushing experimentation with noise, atonality, improvisation and dissonance.
The Contortions, Teenage Jesus And The Jerks, Mars, & DNA are all on record saying they thought this SUCKED, & that Brian Eno should have stayed home. 😂

Time has proved otherwise, as it is now recognized as being highly influential in documenting that entire scene in New York in the late 70s.

Most of these tunes were recorded live off the floor at Big Apple studio in NYC, little separation of instruments, no overdubs.

This record is for you if you like brave, avant-garde fringe music.
Some of you will absolutely HATE it.
