We scaled #Keycloak to 2_000 logins per second and 10_000 token refreshes per seconds on #AWS and it scaled linearly in our #loadtest! It performed just fine with the latest optimizations in the 26.4 release.
What load do you run on Keycloak? Do you host your own #IAM?
Spoiler: Most of the CPU is burned for crypto operations (password hashing, signatures, TLS)

I would like to use keycloak again for IAM. Would simplify our current landscape with cognito, active directory and some third party idps.
Maybe I can convince my employer to centralize IAM with keycloak.
@Nekator Keycloak can do a lot of integration work as well. And yes, we even talk to active directories if you ask us to 😭
I know that integrating with other IDPs can be challenging, still it is one of the strong points of Keycloak. And if something is missing, you can always extend it with your own custom mapper. 🎉
