A pleasure to spend some time today messing around with pens, Procreate, and Inkscape.
Took me until 11:30pm, so I’m not at all sure these colors are accurate and they’ll probably look way off in the morning… but as with everything, under my current mantra: Close Enough. ✨

How: I took an old Procreate design, repainted the colors on separate layers with a textured brush, exported each layer in black, and converted each to a halftone vector. Then brought them all into Inkscape, forgot to move my registration marks, got a big blob where the computer went to sleep, and finally vectored the bee on top.
Redid this with Sharpies (it was Zebra Sarasa Fineliners before). The "purple" turned out to be hot pink? A good surprise: it would've come out too drab & muddy otherwise.
Still not 100%... I think it needs a smooth gradient in the middle, then I can texture the edges.
But I *do* love the halftone watercolor effect! 🤩
