@jon @Vivaldi Honestly, as someone who's used and preferred Firefox since the early days, their ridiculous focus on AI and other stuff outside of the scope of improving the browser itself - especially when so many users have been screaming their objections at Mozilla - is frustrating af and it's got me wanting to explore alternatives. But man, I just don't wish to contribute to the Chromium engine monopoly on the web and there are so few real alternatives out there that aren't running it under the hood... And unfortunately Vivaldi can't be counted among those. While I totally get *why* y'all made the call to use Chromium, tbh that's what keeps me from seeing Vivaldi as a viable option.
Which sucks because I *know* everything you've built around their engine is quality work!
But yeah, the use of Chromium is a dealbreaker for me. I desperately wish a version of Vivaldi built upon Gecko or some other engine was feasible.
