Long shot, but does anyone have the means of locating the PDF that was once available of the following publication:

Binns, Howard (1994) A History of the British Decorators Association

It used to be hosted at paintingdecoratingassociation.co.uk but is no longer at the previous url, nor easily located via their search mechanism.

Any help and/or boosts greatly appreciated.

Reading through this publication (see post above) I found this cartoon and wondered if there might be any way of identifying the artist?

The piece is captioned 'The Painter's Progress' (presumably the title of the work) and the artist looks to have signed it with a B, or perhaps a B followed by something else that's illegible.

PS. This is definitely evoking some Ragged Trousered Philanthropists vibes!

Black and white line drawing depicting a man and a boy pulling a cart that would normally be drawn by a horse. The wider scene is rural with a field and small cluster of houses forming the background. The pair are straining from the effort of their work and the artist has worked in some traces of lettering on the cart from which 'J. Smudge Painter' and 'Decorator' can be made out.
