@evan About a week only because of Ian McKellen on Colbert

@evan Define "experience." Thought of Shakespeare and talked about him? Yesterday.
Read a play? A few years ago. Saw a play? Sadly, two decades ago.
@evan Last weekend I saw a play about monkeys with typewriters locked in a room until they recreate Hamlet. How should I score that?
@evan I'm counting a sonnet bot as a Shakespeare piece. Wait there's another more recent. Ian McKellen on Colbert.
By simply existing and watching real life, you'll experience Shakespeare’s observations everywhere.
@evan My hometown hosts a whole Shakespeare Company, they are great 😊. Been there three or four times last year, though not all of it was Shakespeare.
@evan literally just got home from showing a friend Baz Lehrman's Romeo + Juliet adaptation (1996)
@evan Does quoting Shakespeare to a mystified stranger count? She mentioned reading a novel called Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow and I said, "Creeps in this petty pace." She had no idea what I was talking about.
@evan Lol I went to look up a passage from A Midsummer Night's Dream because it was haunting my focus, and then came from there to here to see this poll.
@evan I’m counting having seen Hamnet the film recently. Not by Shakespeare, but about him and his family!
@mpjgregoire No, we went to the presentation at Usine C.
@AshCarnelian neat!
@benpate oh, wow. You have Colorado Shakespeare Festival nearby! I've never been, heard good things.
@evan Yes we do! It’s up in Boulder, and it’s a pretty big deal. If you’d like to go, I’ll happily drive you up there and drop you off at the door 🙂
