Do you keep a glass, cup or bottle of water by your bed when you sleep?
If anyone says "no, but I keep a *tumbler* of water by the bed when I sleep" that's an instant block.
@evan I try to --but at least once a week some cat liberates it and I end up with water all over the floor.
@evan I used to, but I also have my desktop computer next to my bed, because it was the only realistic way to lay things out. And after an accident which cost me $2000 in computer parts, I decided I could go downstairs if I was thirsty in the middle of the night.
@evan No, but... I do keep a water cup (an old Stanley metal pint tumbler) on my desk in my office, which is about a dozen steps from my bed.
@evan Yes (a water bottle), but I often forget and have to get up to get it from my desk. (Like today, and it was empty so I had to refill! 🥲)
@evan I do, but half the time it's empty because I forget or am too lazy to fill the bottle after I've finished it. But technically the bottle is there and is *supposed* to contain water.
@evan
No, if needed the kitchen is close enough; but also I only wake up to put "water" out, not put water in.
@evan I mean I sometimes keep a mason jar of water on my nightstand
but that's also made of glass so
@evan I actually have to now, because I have to take medicine *right when I wake up*. Which is annoying as hell if I don't have water to take the pill with right next to me.
@copiesofcopies so help me
@countablenewt if they find me dead in the morning I will have a note on my body that says MURDERED BY SAM CLEMENTE
