@kimlockhartga @ai6yr Have been watching the KP all day and it's now going back down where I am. So that's possible. 😞
@arisummerland @ai6yr ugh. I can't believe I missed it. I think it got dark too late for me.
@kimlockhartga @ai6yr yeah my highest KP was around 4 PM drat.
@kimlockhartga @ai6yr the KP increased again in the middle of the night, but it was still high at 6:30 this morning and I still couldn't see anything. 🤷
@arisummerland @ai6yr that solar wind went insanely high, and the electromagnetic energy was there, but we needed a southward (negative) instead of a northward (positive) magnetic field for the auroras.
@arisummerland @ai6yr It actually looks pretty good right now for Tasmania or Australia, but they are asleep.
@kimlockhartga @ai6yr i'm definitely going to check again tonight. I guess the effects of the storm could linger that long... fingers crossed!
