Okay, so I'm looking for a good smart thermostat radiator valve now. Preferably zigbee, but wifi also okay as long as it works without internet connection. I want to connect it to Home Assistant. Recommendations?
@britter i have really good experiences with the Sonoff TRVZB. Its a simple valve, just fully open or closed but it works perfectly with HA and has Zigbee.

The Sonoff ones work well for me too. I have four. My only complaint is that they are a bit noisy. Three of them share an external sensor, so they all go on/off simultaneously.

@kuro @britter jap, they are working fine for me as well. Batteries are lasting long (but the valves do not open/close very often in my setup)

@diekenbrock @kuro isn't fully open/closed kind of an issue? I typically heat with the valve half open and wonder how it would behave if its either fully open or closed 🤔
@diekenbrock @kuro ich wechsel mal auf deutsch 😉 ich hab etwas die Sorge, dass die Heizung dann immer auf volle Pulle läuft, und es dann relativ schnell ziemlich warm wird. Dann geht sie ganz zu und weil mein Büro unterm Dach ist, fällt die Temperatur relativ schnell wieder ab. So ein Grad pro Stunde, schätze ich?!
Dann geht es wieder komplett auf und es geht von vorn los.
Deshalb heize ich meistens auf Stufe drei so lange ich im Raum bin. Dann ist es ganz angenehm.

Ach so, klar, zur Temperaturregelung ist es ggfls. natürlich notwendig, irgendwo in der Mitte zu bleiben. Ich hatte Dich so verstanden, dass der Thermostat nicht "in der Mitte sein möchte".
In meinem Fall passt der https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydraulischer_Abgleich so, dass ich im Winter fast immer voll auf haben kann. Das passt sicher nicht immer.
@diekenbrock @kuro okay... ich bin hier nur Mieter im zwei Parteien Haus. Keine Ahnung ob wir sowas haben 😅 ist das standard?
