I am an Emeritus Professor at the Fred Hutch in Seattle (i.e., retired). My lab studied host-pathogen interactions, especially how HIV adapted to humans and how HIV latency is controlled. I also taught a graduate level virology class for several decades. I hike, bike, and garden in the Pacific Northwest and looking to add other hobbies and activities.
