Bonkin' up the new amp #BonkWave #NotBonkWave
(And this amp is younger than me, so it's officially new-fangled and can be told to get off my lawn.)
Meanwhile, all my other components are older than me, so they're vintage and have an aura of mystique and history.
@bazkie If all goes well, I'll have a second, older, but still fully working pioneer that I will keep around as a spare. It's pleasant to have a working amp at all times, and this one's cheap.
@bazkie it also has a replacement volume knob from another amp, which loses it stock style points, but definitely shows character. :D i like that in a bit of kit.
@bazkie I've set up my universal remote control to (kinda?) work with this one, and holy crap, the motorized volume knob is cool
@bazkie I knew a guy whose hifi was all Pioneer (except for the turntable, and perhaps he's got that too since then), and if everything they made is at least as fancy as this, I can imagine why.
@ozzelot yeah my parents had pioneer stuff at home too, it felt really solid!
