I was also surprised to find that the #european members of our tour group were just as unfamiliar with haggling as Americans. For some reason I’d assumed haggling was more common in Europe, or is it more regional (i.e. more common in some European countries but not others)?

@Kierkegaanks I understand it to be more of a cultural thing than a matter of “economic maturity”. I mean last time i bought a used car, i went back and forth on price and included accessories, so it’s not that unheard-of.
@pork_soda shops/markets and people selling their old stuff are different entities
@Kierkegaanks I guess I don’t see it that way? Car dealerships are pretty large & ubiquitous in the US and negotiation is IME part of the used car buying experience.
