Heute (Sonntag 08.03.) schauen wir wieder gemeinsam Talks vom #39c3 und freuen uns auf Fragen, Diskussionen und Ergänzungen. Los geht's ab 18:00!

Es gab vor einigen jahren auf einem congress (36C3?) einen beamer auf dem ein spiel lief, teilnahme öffentlich per Telnet. Prinzip: Man ist ein Punkt auf der Fläche und gibt per Telnet zwei zahlen ein: Winkel+Power. Damit hat man einen schuss abgegeben. Man musste versuchen die anderen Punkte/Spieler zu treffen. Gravitation war glaube ich auch eingebaut. Ein Jahr später (dann in HH) gab es das gleiche, aber mit controllern. Weiß jemand wie das heißt / wer betrieb?

Eine IT-Sicherheitsforscherin deckt auf, wie der QR-Code eines Rollstuhls zum Generalschlüssel für alle Komfortfunktionen wird.
‚Die IT-Sicherheitsforscherin und Rollstuhlnutzerin Elfy beschäftigte sich aus persönlicher Betroffenheit intensiv mit dem e-motion M25 von Alber. Was sie dabei antrieb, war nicht zuletzt die Preispolitik des Herstellers: Für Funktionen wie das Umschalten des Fahrmodus (99 Euro), ein höheres Geschwindigkeitslimit (99 Euro) oder die Fernbedienung per App (99 Euro) werden saftige Aufpreise fällig; eine spezielle Bluetooth-Fernbedienung kostet sogar bis zu 595 Euro. Elfy wollte wissen, ob diese Komfortfunktionen technisch wirklich abgesichert sind – oder ob der Zugang in Wahrheit viel einfacher ist.‘

Seit dem Vortrag von Keno und Darius beim #39C3 habe ich die(se) @Teckids ins Herz geschlossen – im vorgestellten Anspruch an und auf #Verstehbarkeit steckt so viel drin!
Was ich nicht verstehe:
1) Warum scheint niemand die #CartaDerVerstehbarkeit mitzuzeichnen?

Remember the talk I purposed for #39c3 about the push for DRM, firmware lock-in and surveillance on 3D printers by gun control lobby groups in the name of preventing gun violence?
Well the first bill is here for exactly that. It requires manufactures of 3D printers to prevent the use of 3rd party firmware and the introduction of an algorithm that guesses if a print is a gun part and prevents the printer from printing in that case.
