Here's my most recent watercolor painting. It's a Gila Woodpecker sitting on the top of a Saguaro in bloom. The source of this painting is a photo I took in Tucson in mid April. If you've never been to the Saguaro National Park I highly recommend it.

Today I went for a walk in the woods. When I reached the centre, I rested on a bench.
The woods seemed deserted.
After a while, the squirrels came out of hiding and commenced their scavenging around me. I was surrounded by squirrels! Everywhere I looked there was a little squirrel face looking back warily at me.
The came the birds, following the squirrels around to find food in disturbed ground.
A lone robin hopped up on the bench and eyed me inquisitively.
