I've been using Vivaldi as my browser for a while now and I absolutely love it!
There is no need for a separate app for RSS tracking anymore; it’s built right into the browser.
The mail section is also great for managing my own emails and is very user-friendly.

'The most obvious change is how rounded everything is. Tabs, the address bar, and the toolbar no longer sit as separate flat strips—they form a single floating island at the top of the browser.
The sidebar toggle and the web content area follow the same rounded design language, and even elements on the new tab page get the same treatment.'

We've moved instances again (4 hours has to be a world record for shortest stay in a #Mastodon before migrating :P), and hopefully this will be the final time we will do that. It would be a shame, because "Outer Heaven" does sorta fit more for a #browser named "Pale Moon"! ;)
So, with a permanent #fediverse home, here's the short #introduction again done two instances ago on what #PaleMoon is all about:
We are one of the first projects out there to have forked from #Firefox / #Mozilla. We've started as a humble rebuild aiming to bring an optimized Firefox, but we've soon evolved into a full-fledged fork (hard fork if you will) which kept what we believe were the good stuff that Mozilla axed and didn't deserve axing, like #XUL (which we believe is the most powerful language for extending a browser, up to its internals), #RSS, and <style scoped>, and kept out the ones that we believe were not good for our userbase (like Pocket, the LLM cruft, and if you're old enough, Australis!). We aim to keep evolving this mature platform in order to keep up with the latest feature additions to the web as we reasonably can (even though we believe they're becoming increasingly silly) while, if possible and necessary, adding up some of our own. All of that, as an independent effort supported primarily by nothing else but you: the users!

Как всё-таки часто мы забываем, насколько сложным сегодня стало программное обеспечение. Если что-то перестаёт работать в приложении, с которым мы работаем сейчас, то мы в первую очередь начинаем подозревать в проблеме именно это приложение.
Вот буквально вчера работал в Vivaldi, писал какой-то текст на форуме, и вдруг курсор начал вести себя неадекватно: выглядело это так, как будто клавиша со стрелкой вправо зависла и этот мигающий столбик бодро побежал по строчкам. Весело так мчится слева направо, потом бодро перескакивает на следующую строку и несётся дальше. Что за напасть!
Конечно, потыкал разные кнопки, подул на клавиатуру, потряс перевёрнутым ноутбуком - вдруг какая-то мусоринка закатилась под клавишу и коротит контакты? Нет, не помогло. Ну, что делать - значит, баг в браузере словил. Надо отправлять баг-репорт.
А как отправлять, если курсор совершенно не слушается и носится по тексту, как угорелый? Так никакой баг-репорт не напишешь. Перезагрузил страницу, перезагрузил браузер - всё бесполезно. Ну, надо попробовать ещё компьютер перезагрузить.
Закрываю браузер и вижу странную вещь - теперь значки приложений на рабочем столе перемигиваются по очереди, как будто эта курсорная болезнь и на них напала. Всё ясно - глюк случился в системе, браузер не виноват. Прости, друг.

Ich nutze schon seit längerem #bravebrowser auf meinem Smartphone mit #grapheneos . Aufgrund des umstrittenen CEO's würde ich jedoch gerne zu einem anderen Browser wechseln, der das Maß an #fingerprinting - Schutz bietet wie brave.
Bisher sind alle anderen Browser die ich mit coveryourtracks.org getestet habe (u.a. vivaldi, firefox, vanadium) jedoch beim Fingerprinting-Schutz nicht an Brave Browser herangekommen. Weis da jmd mehr?

I think it's little over a month since I deleted my #meta accounts (among other #bigtech services).
Right now the only #socialmedia I use is #mastodon.
I can really feel the #freedom ( no.. not the 'murica version ) of not *having* to open the #Facebook app 100 times a day.
Also really happy that #Fedora worked out as good as it did after I ditched #Windows 11. ( thanks to @Beiz )

esimport and by extension also Django-ESM support all SHA2 versions now. Turns out that's what the SRI standard proposed all along.
When I have some time to kill, I'll make a Desktop Environment Framework using #NuxtJS with #NuxtUI and #SQLite.
In my mind: apps would work seamlessly between desktop environment, no matter the flavor.
The idea: Apps are processes, Desktop Bus ties Window to App, multiple Desktops (screens).
