Dear Liberal partisans: “we can’t do anything about this chaos Trump is creating” is a bad look, and also completely untrue and a cop out.
Things you can do *today*
1) food and gas price controls
2) food and gas rebates/grants
3) EV, solar and wind mandates and grants
4) direct investment in electrification of fossil fuel transport and infrastructure, today. Move all existing projects on the books up to start asap.
These are just some of the things that could directly and immediately help Canadians through #theAmericanFascists oil wars.
Acting like it is 1975 and we just have to stick it out because there is no alternative is a cop out and makes you complicit.

Lori Idlout’s defection from the NDP to the Liberals feels timed for maximum negative impact to the NDP and maximum distraction from the Iran issue that the PM and Government has been floundering on for the last two weeks.
It would be a tragic, horrible irony if the way we got to a renewable energy future is by oil soaked countries and their genocidal, idiotic leaders and hangers on destroying themselves in a final desperate act to secure the entire thing for themselves.
But that would also be entirely human.
We need to have a long and honest talk with our Albertan and other Canadian oil friends and convince them that we need to get out of this sphere as fast as possible for our own safety.

Water Watchers is a small but mighty group in S. Ontario that has led the fight against Nestlé water bottling. While Nestlé did quit and sell to Blue Triton another company, the fight continues. All new companies must apply for a water-taking permit but Ford's Cons want to bypass that and continue business as usual.
This is their notice of joining with other groups including 14 First Nations as Co-Intervenor Status on a new Legal Case against Federal Bill C5 and Ontario Bill 5.
