CW: Golpe de estado y violencia política
Hoy se conmemoran 51 años del golpe de estado en el país que me toca vivir de mano de las fuerzas armadas y de orden, apoyadas por EE.UU. y civiles cómplices. Fue una de las instancias mas horripilantes de nuestra historia y, al día de hoy, aun se sienten los golpes que quedaron. Especialmente se siente en quienes no están y en quienes ni siquiera sabemos donde están. Van 51 años de torturas, asesinatos y desapariciones forzadas, donde.algo de justicia se ha hecho y algo de memoria se sigue trabajando.
Hoy no olvidamos a quienes no están. Más de 300.000 personas fueron víctimas directas de la dictadura (exilio, tortura, asesinato, desapariciones, sin contar otras formas más de violencia política) y el número de víctimas indirectas es incalculable.
Hubieron víctimas de todas las edades, desde niñxs hasta ancianos, desde hombres a mujeres embarazadas y las descripciones de lo que se hizo es material de pesadillas
Porque no olvidamos, hoy conmemoramos. Aunque la democracia quiera hacerse la loca y cerrar una historia. Las heridas siguen hasta hoy.

Hi #fediverse ! We’re the European Southern Observatory, and we design, build and operate ground-based telescopes.
One of them is our Extremely Large Telescope, currently under construction in #Chile. It will have a 39 m mirror, and its rotating enclosure will weigh 6100 tonnes, or about 700 mastodons!
We’re looking forward to chatting with all of you about #astronomy

Chile's National Cybersecurity Agency launches ciberlupa to search for leaks of citizen data.
Personal Opinion:
I find ANCI's Ciberlupa incredibly useful: a Chilean "Have I Been Pwned" tool that helps people find out if their email/RUT (Chilean tax ID) has been leaked, with good privacy (strong authentication, anonymized database). But there's a critical point that can't be ignored: the risk that, in order to keep it updated and "complete," the line might be crossed at some point, and they might start buying dumps on the dark web or black markets (as has happened in other countries with law enforcement). That would be counterproductive: it would finance more data theft and lose all legitimacy. A concrete proposal: ANCI should publicly commit to strict limits—only open/published sources (Telegram, hacker forums that upload for free, CERT collaborations, reports from victims/companies). No purchases, not even for "specific investigations," in this citizen-led tool.
