Baby's first gauge swatch! I'm planning on making the Clara Collar Cardigan by Mipi the Label, and have managed to gather some of the yarns second hand (Drops' Alpaca Silk and Fabel). I wasn't sure if I wanted to use the variegated or solid yarn with the thinner one, so I tried both! I think the variegated looks more interesting, but I'm not sure if I'd be more likely to wear that when (/if) I'm finished with the garment. 🤔

If anyone has any good tutorials for lace knit/how to follow a lace chart I'd be more than happy to hear!

Hi, people who do #crafts and/or know about #typewriters - I’d like some advice. I’m making a thing that involves a typed quote, and it would be really useful to be able to type it onto something see-through so I can try various background options without having to re-type the whole thing. What material am I looking for? I’m so old and clueless I just think of old OHP plastic, and I don’t even know what that was made of. Any advice much appreciated.

I've started my next science-y #needlefelting project. It is a gift for a friend who is a shark researcher, so I'm keen to get the details right (or, at least, try my best to!). This one is the leopard shark. I'll add colour and all the features later. My hope is to make 3-4 other species too 🦈 Will keep you updated. #sciart #crafts

Crocheted a bandana! I think I’m gonna redo it with a thinner yarn & bigger needle so it sits better but I think it’s pretty good for a first prototype.
