I just did mine with paraffin, which worked great but since most of the wax ends up spread across the countryside I wondered about using something biodegradeable.

(If not wax, are there other consumable products, chain lube etc, that you recommend that are biodegradable?)

#Introduction of my #bicycles. The Batavus Competition with 7-speed 105 I bought when I finished school, instead of getting my driver's licence. Later I splurged on a custom alu frame with Ultegra, the blue one with red Mavic wheels, from Hagen in Haarlem. Now I have an alu Canyon, still Ultegra but luckily much better wheels... On a parallel timeline, I had a Giant "ATB" hybrid-MTB thingie with Gripshift, but now a proper one with suspension fork, phew. #cycling #velophant #nonprocycling

A lot of the advocates that I follow suggest that we should ban throttles on ebikes in the US. I see their points, and I guess ultimately it's a skill issue on my part, but I rely on the throttle on my bike far too much to get behind banning it. Especially for taking off or going uphill.

Now that Strava has had their AI implementation ("Athlete Intelligence") in place for some time, I think it would make sense for them to use it for the app notifications as well. It's a bit annoying to get the "Wow! Great work logging an activity" after the nth time commuting to work.

Since Strava already knows what my daily commutes and my proper rides are like, you'd think it could use different wording in the notification depending on the kind of ride. After all, the "AI analysis" in the app does it.

So, endlich, nachdem ich die letzten Tage verzweifelt die alte ausgedrungene Dichtmilch von der Wulst gefummelt und die Kette frisch aus dem Wachsbad gefischt habe, bin ich grad mal paar Meter gefahren um die neue Schlotze hoffentlich besser zu verteilen - auf, das ich jetzt nicht in dem halben Tag wie gestern auf heute 2bar verliere. 🤞

Ich bin auf jeden Fall fasziniert wie meine Beine das Fahrrad mit jedem Tritt nach vorne geschubst haben, das bin ich so in dem Ausmaß nicht gewohnt- ich glaube Zwift lohnt sich xD
