Today I learned that my #doctor passed away.
He was ~50, which is no age at all.
I did not know him personally, but I knew him as someone who made a difference. For over 15 years, he was my doctor, and every visit felt safe.
He was calm, kind and deeply knowledgeable. He took away my #fears, explained everything patiently and was always gentle, even during difficult examinations.
You rarely find someone like that. He was one of those people who simply radiate something good, something reassuring, without even trying.
It hurts to know that someone so decent is gone. And it hurts to know I have lost not just a doctor, but someone whose presence I quietly trusted.
This is my way of saying #goodbye. Maybe he can read it, wherever he is now.
Rest in peace Dr. J.L.
