Elementary OS shows my connected headphone battery percentage alongside my laptop battery. This is very useful as I can use it to check my headphone battery percentage.

I'm on elementary OS. I see there is a "color deficiency assistance" filter in display setting. I was surprised by it because today is my second day using eOS, and I never heard of a Linux distro being very user-friendly and as humane as having this option.

Ich möchte OpenStreetMaps weiterhin als Navi in meinem Auto nutzen.
Mit meinem Google-Handy war das einfach. Einfach Maps+ von OpenStreetMaps kaufen und schon klappte das.
Auf meinem Shiftphone mit e/OS/ ist das eine andere Geschichte. Das geht mit den fehlenden Play-Services los (mein Kauf wird dadurch nicht erkannt) und geht das mit den fehlenden AndroidAuto Services weiter.

Les devs de GrapheneOS ont toujours été durs avec /e/OS, reprochant à Gaël de mentir sur la sécurité de /e/.
D'ailleurs leurs arguments sont plutot convaincants. Soit c'est secure soit ca ne l'est pas. Il semble que non pour /e/OS.
Si je devais choisir, mon choix pench…

Os cuento mi experiencia y algunos consejos que a mí me han ido bien.
Yo tengo un #fairphone5 desde hace 2 años y medio y por suerte para este modelo hay un asistente en la web https://e.foundation/installer/ que te guía por la instalación.
Como mensaje para e/OS/ quizá sería bueno un poco más de información sobre el proceso ya que el móvil se reinicia varias veces y el instalador puede dar la impresión de haber entrado en bucle.
En mi caso me hice este listado de tareas para la migración:
- contactos exportar
- exportar numeros bloqueados
- listado de apps
- revisar apps por si es necesario backup de datos
- marcadores y apps web
- aegis y authenticators
- mover archivos
- exportar mensajes signal
Sobre el punto 4, hago énfasis porque hay muchas apps (sobre todo de fdroid) que permiten el backup de datos. De esta manera cuando reinstales solo vas a tener que importar el correspondiente archivo. Yo me olvidé de alguno por no tomarme el tiempo necesario.
Para mover archivos utilicé #syncthing, que es lo que uso siempre y no tuve que hacer nada extra. Cuando instalé e/OS/ configuré Syncthing rápidamente y ya tenía de vuelta todos mis archivos. Si tienes tajeta SD también puedes mover ahí los archivos y se conservarán.
En el caso de #fairphone necesitas acceder a su web y buscar un código para desbloquear el bootloader. Está todo explicado en el instalador.
Otro consejo sería no conectarme a ningún wifi hasta que veáis el icono de e/OS/. Hay varios reinicios.
Yo tuve algún problema para acceder al teléfono por ese motivo, me pedía introducir mi patrón de acceso pero no me lo reconocía, finalmente conseguí desbloquear gracias a la cuenta de google.

First, I didn't have any experience with smartphones, so https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=padZSv1wxFI helped me to insert my SIM card in the Redmi 4A (from a classic old Nokia).

But certainly, the most difficult part was unlocking the bootloader. First, a Mi account must be created on the Android smartphone. It didn't work on the Xiaomi's website.
Second, running the Mi Unlock app was not very informative. I had to re-link/bound the Mi account in "Mi Unlock Status" (https://xdaforums.com/t/need-help-bad-couldnt-verify-device-cant-get-info-cant-unlock-my-bootloader.3953948/, https://romprovider.com/solved-couldnt-unlock-cant-get-info-connect/) using SIM data (instead of WiFi), and then, it worked doing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1I-rBM4QdN4

Android Auto unter /e/OS
Nachdem nun ein Android Auto fähiges Fahrzeug in der Garage steht, wollte ich das Ganze unter /e/OS doch mal ausprobieren. Ein Erfahrungsbericht.

gibt es hier Leute, die schon Erfahrung mit dem #FairPhone (Gen6) mit /e/OS gesammelt haben?
Anfangs scheint es ja ein paar Probleme gegeben zu haben, wenn man sich die Bewertungen anguckt. Sind die mittlerweile behoben?
Wie sieht es mit Banking Apps aus?
Geht die Datenübertragung vom alten Handy (Samsung S Klasse) problemlos?
Ist #eOS generell zu empfehlen als alternatives Betriebssystem?
Ich möchte halt gerne zu einem möglichst (google-)freien OS/Handy wechseln. Wichtig sind neben div. Banking Apps (Sparkasse, ING, DKB) noch der DB Navigator, Qobuz (ggf. Deezer, Tidal,... mal gucken), Signal und ja... Paypal (solange Wero sich noch nicht flächendeckend durchgesetzt hat).
Am FairPhone reizt mich zusätzlich die Modularität.
Interessanter Effekt beim Fairphone mit /e/OS die reguläre App vom HVV kann nicht installiert werden, aber die HVV Swift schon.
So so.. nehm ich halt die neuere App.

Jeg har nu haft min nye telefon fra Murena med #EOS (aka /e/os) i en uges tid. Jeg har fået flyttet alle billeder, kontakter og andet godt fra min iphone over på den. Og ting virker bare med en enkelt undtagelse. Det er bemærkelsesværdigt udramatisk.

Netbank: OK
MobilePay: OK
MitID app: virker ikke
Jeg har selv aldrig brugt mitID app, så jeg installerede den kun for at teste. Og det virkede ikke efter 2 forsøg.
Jeg er ikke særligt it-kyndig. Den sværeste del var, at få eksporteret data fra min iphone - der måtte jeg finde en guide på nettet.
Så hvis du gerne vil bruge en smartphone og være en del af det digitale Danmark bare uden USA's tech-giganter, så kan det løses med en mitID kodeviser og telefon med /e/os/.
