I heard there was some graffiti on the old slate-built bus stop on the road to Dinorwig Quarry the other day.

Though it was around freezing, windy and with snow on the tops of Eryri, I nevertheless got some good shots.

This well-executed figure is a fairly common type in the north Wales slate belt. Based on other dated graffiti at the site, it's likely 1950s or 1960s.

Graffito of an old man with long pipe in mouth and a trail of smoke emerging from the pipe. It is cut onto a slate window sill of a bus stop that once served Dinorwig slate quarry, a globally-important producer in the 19th century. It closed in 1969.

Got myself a new phone, therefore needed a new case. Case was boring, so I decorated it! Let’s see how long it lasts. At least when it wears off I can do another one!
