Welcome to Trilobite Tuesday! Pictured is Asaphus kowalewski. This 450-million-year-old species stands apart from other trilobites with its eyes perched atop 2-in- (5-cm-) long stalks. To some, Asaphus kowalewski may look like an animal from a distant galaxy!

Happy #EarthDay everyone!

I am a #paleoclimate #scientist who also is an expert on #biomarkers as #ClimateProxies. In other words, I study past #climate using #molecular #fossils.

I am currently a @CNRS_INSU researcher at the Centre de Recherche et d'Enseignement en Géosciences de l'Environnement (CEREGE, France).

In addition to boosting toots of interest, I will essentially toot my new #scientific #publications and other #scientific content.

Fossils of sea lilies can be found in rivers in England, and they were once believed to be fairy coins. They are also called "star stones" and are said to bring victory over enemies.
