Sly fox sneaks on to cargo ship in Southampton and arrives in New York
A red fox that sneaked onto a cargo ship off the coast of Southampton has successfully made it thousands of miles across the Atlantic and is now in the care of the Bronx Zoo in New York.
The zoo said on Wednesday that the healthy fox - a two-year-old male weighing roughly 11lb (5kg) - is currently in the Animal Health Center with animal and veterinary teams.

Koskikarojen ruokailupaikoilla jään reunamilla näkyy paljon ketunjälkiä ja tässä yksi niiden tekijöistä. Ketut ovat kaikkiruokaisia ja vesien äärellä on lintujen lisäksi mm. jyrsijöitä ja näätiä (lumikko, kärppä, minkki), joita voi yrittää saalistaa. Koskikarat ovat edelleen tallella. :)

At the feeding places of white-throated dippers, you can see a lot of fox tracks on the edges of the ice, and here is one of their makers. Foxes are omnivores, and in addition to birds, there are rodents and mustelids (weasels, stoats, minks) that can be hunted by the waters. The white-throated dippers are still there. :-)

Foxes made originally made in 2023 to replace my current pfp (hence the similar palette). They unfortunately didn't click as much to make the actual change.
I started this a bit more than seven years ago, got stuck on the background, tried various options and eventually gave up. I picked it up again about a week ago, discarded the original overly complex background, redid the tail and cheek, redrew it at 800% and added colour. And… it’s done now? Hard to believe.
