Today we had a short guided tour around the exhibition in the Hessian State Archive on the Hessian mercenaries. It featured a beautiful hand drawn #historical #map of a #hessian mercenary lieutenant of the battle of #Trenton, which happened just after the crossing of the #Delaware in the #American #War of #Independence. The map has been drawn from memory, more than half a year after the events for an inquiry by the Hessian landgravate in that matter. Digital version👇
