SOBRE INTENTO DE INCURSIÓN AL CONSULADO DEL ECUADOR EN MINNEAPOLIS POR PARTE DE AGENTES DE ICE
La mañana de hoy, la Cónsul del Ecuador en Minneapolis reportó que, alrededor de las 11h00 a.m., un agente del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE) intentó ingresar a las instalaciones del Consulado.
De manera inmediata, los funcionarios del Consulado impidieron el ingreso del oficial de ICE a la sede consular, garantizando asi la protección de los ecuatorianos que se encontraban en ese momento en la sede consular y activando los protocolos de emergencia emitidos por el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y
Movilidad Humana.
Por lo expuesto, la Canciller de la República presentó inmediatamente una nota de protesta a la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en el Ecuador para que actos de esta naturaleza no se repitan en ninguna de las oficinas consulares del Ecuador en los Estados Unidos.
