Federal #judges move to oust #Trump stooge #LindseyHalligan as #USattorney

Her appointment was ruled #unlawful, but she has refused to step down.

In a pair of extraordinary moves, 2 federal judges issued #CourtOrders Tues saying they intend to remove Halligan from the helm of a key US attorney’s office in Virginia & threatening #disciplinary #sanctions for any govt #lawyer who continues to refer to her as US attorney in #legal filings.

The #Pentagon says it is investigating #Democratic Senator & former astronaut #MarkKelly of Arizona for possible breaches of #military #law after Kelly joined a handful of other lawmakers in a video that called for US troops to refuse unlawful orders - which happens to be required by military law. Ridiculous.

#LegalEthics Tidbit: Don’t accuse a witness of “testi-lying” in front of the jury.

An expert in a RI car accident case wrote in his expert report that the collision occurred on the passenger side of the car, but in Court testified that it was the driver’s side. Opposing counsel stated in open court that the expert had “testi-lied” and insisted he be charged with perjury, leading to a mistrial. Public reprimand for stating personal opinion as to witness credibility.
