Gibt es jemanden unter euch, der /die Zugriff auf die nötigen Werkzeuge hat, und mir für meinen Kater eine kleine Marke zur Befestigung am Halsband herstellen kann?
Sie soll aus Metall bestehen, eine kleine Öse zur Befestigung haben und neben dem Namen auch noch eine eingravierte / gelaserte Telefonnummer haben.
Das ganze noch halbwegs ansehnlich und ohne scharfe Kanten. Ca in der Größe eines 20 Cent Stücks.
Kenne ich jemanden, der bereit ist, sowas gegen einen Obolus herzustellen? 🙂

Tired of these mini-jack cables always breaking at the plug, I'm trying this - bought a solid-looking angled Neutrik jack & soldered it onto one of many working cables with Broken jacks I have lying around.
Even I can't fuck up such a simple simple operation, so it works - now we'll see for how long... 🤞

Is anyone doing anything cool with VESA mounting things other than monitors/laptops?
So this is a weird one... I am working on a device that has two different things, and one needs 4.5v and one needs 1.5v.
Is there any reason I could not just solder a wire in place to just get power from one cell and also use the existing wire to provide 4.5v elsewhere?
I know this isn't the best way to do it, but it's a quick hack to make something work... I can't find an issue with it under that condition. Can you?

Proof of concept: A servo motor, a little platform with an opposing wheel, and two TPU tyres with a tiny groove down the middle will very capably grab a length of solder and push/pull it.
This is part 1 of the next addition to my soldering station: a pen that precisely pays out solder wire as it's needed.
