The forecast is calling for 6-8" of snow in my area. We don't have a great track record with this kind of thing, as seen in this February 2014 photo taken on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh, NC. Can't wait for the 2014 redux.

Some amount of emergency water in prep for the weekend. Not sure how to prepare for loss of heat.

Hope everyone stays safe wherever they are along this big storm. #NCwx

Looking down on a concrete floor with 3, 4-gallon full collapsible water jugs, 2 gallon jugs, and 2, 5-gallon buckets of water. After Helene, we decided to at least do something. Will fill the bathtub as well.

Plan to turn the heat up on Friday to make the house uncomfortably warm, just in case.
