You know what's hilarious about this whole story? I haven't touched anything networks related since the uni days. The last time i had to crimple an ethernet cable was 25 years ago.
But since i started in the networking org at AWS, i've been knee deep in this; built my own router ffs. there is definitely some sort of networks karma thing going on #networks #electronics

So I moved into a new house and they have what appears to be a proper 8 wires Ethernet cable linkage between rooms. But, my APs only negotiate on 100Mbs over it. My guess is poor cable termination . Anyone knows how to unfuck it and which tool do I need for that? Thanks 🙏 #networks

I am a computational social scientist with a background in sociology.
I hold a PhD in economic sociology and labour studies from the University of Milan, and a PhD in sociology (social welfare) from the Allameh Tabataba'i University of Tehran.
I work on themes related to the science of science, scholarly migration, #social #networks, collaboration networks, and computational social science.
Briefly, using computational tools and techniques to answer social science questions.

I guess I should go for an #introduction I’m in human #geography I use my fieldwork about #FOSS #OpenData and #FreeCulture movement(s) to try and contribute to some core concepts of geography such as #places #spaces and #territories (no, I didn’t forget #networks ). I have also a great interest in #didactics of geography. I currently work as a teaching fellow (PRAG in French, not totally sure this is equivalent) at the Univ. of Bordeaux.
And I’m very happy to see so much new faces over here!
