Fellow artists (and artistes, even auteurs), before I was working on Arms of Kismet (and Waterslide), I played in Wampeters — a contrarian outfit steeped in Who-ish, Kinks-esque, and Clash-y rock. We wrote and recorded seven albums before the end of the century.
Now we have a new story: WELL WISHES. If you've listened to Arms of Kismet or Waterslide, Wampeters planted those seeds, from the playfulness to the catchiness to the capture of crystalline moments like fireflies in a jar.
