Note that some of those who disagreed likely did so not because they disagree with the principle, but because they want to do it slightly differently / at some future point.

Ending online harms isn't a game of whack-a-mole.
The only way is to bust the business model that rewards harmful results.
Nothing changes until we break the spell that keeps us on platforms; the harvesting of our data to maximise engagement and fuel advertising.
We need to get off the regulatory treadmill and #BreakBigTech.

# Ofcom fast-tracks decision on measures to block illegal intimate images
As anticipated, Ofcom has announced a new general monitoring obligation, for (all? those which have identified a high risk?) regulated user to user services to scan user uploads to attempt to detect illegal intimate images.
Details are scant right now, including where and how everyone in scope can obtain the comparison data to implement this.
I forgot I had a Ubisoft account. Stupid games companies forcing you to have a new account with every publisher. But now they're saying they're locking down the account unless I provide age verification.
Glad I had the foresight to pick the username WHAT_IS_THIS_BS because it sure is a whole lotta BS.
