I've add a background 🖼️ and change the light 💡 rendering.
For who ones who has an interest, you can download the new version from "Dima stand 🧍♂️" Codeberg page 🏔️👉 https://codeberg.org/xolatgames/Dima-stand/releases/tag/v0.3.0
Or check its source code 👉 https://codeberg.org/xolatgames/Dima-stand

Hello again! So I've add a ground also, and rotation in both x and y axes 👉 https://codeberg.org/xolatgames/Dima-stand
And also prepare the game to publish (and published a game's executable), so you can download the new version as executable file now 👉 https://codeberg.org/xolatgames/Dima-stand/releases/tag/v0.2.0
Have a good evening and night to everyone! ✌️😉

So, I couldn't resist, and added a texture, and an animation to the game about Dima who just stand 🧍♂️👉 https://codeberg.org/xolatgames/Dima-stand
And, you can also try to build this game through CMake now, so you don't need to install CodeLite for building this game especially.

Hello everyone! ✌️
Here's small (tiny) update of "Dima Defense" 👉 https://codeberg.org/xolatgames/Dima-Defense/releases/tag/v0.4.1
And I taken a decision to rewrite "Dima stand 🧍♂️" 👉 https://codeberg.org/xolatgames/Dima-stand
Now he use GLFW and OpenGL instead of Ogre3D framework.
But more details about this on my devlog 👉 https://xolat.games/devlogs/2026/02/22/post/ 😉

Some years ago I made this android live wallpaper, I'm still using it today. It's free, open source and quite lightweight (should not drain your battery). Pick it up if you want ;)
Payment permission is just a donation library I included, nothing else.

my game engine can now be used as a library, so I started making the game i wanted to make in my engine (something similar to Garry's Mod)
here's the title screen
here's how the map editor is going
i added skyboxes to my game engine
OK, please be kind...but I've finally decided to take a stab at old-webbing: https://montyontherun.neocities.org/
In particular, I intend to go over each of the Mesa3D demos (https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/demos) and read it, explore it and explore what I needed to learn.
If there is anything to be improved, I will try to submit a merge request as well.
I was already cooking this in the background, but discovering https://512kb.club/ earlier today gave me the final impetus
A late #introduction
Hi I'm a SW engineer working mostly on industrial process monitoring systems, applications connecting large networks of fire detectors and other sensors, some medical applications and SW (defibrillators, patient monitoring, research support) and some cryptography apps (not cryptocurrency).
I used to work as a university teacher and I also did some work on the design of static reflection in C++. In my free time I like to play with 3d APIs like #OpenGL and tools like #b3d
(i haven't properly introduced this project yet)
project introduction: Arkas engine (https://github.com/mesyeti/ArkasEngine)
Arkas Engine is a 3D game engine aiming to be a spiritual successor to Build Engine (used to make Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Shadow Warrior)
It uses OpenGL 1.1 which makes it compatible with my favourite 20 year old computer that runs Windows XP
📐 Early GPU Acceleration Progress - Part 3,
AutoDesk Fusion working with OpenGL backend. This is really big for CAD folks. AutoDesk plans to remove OpenGL in new versions of Fusion, but I think you can keep using the current one and have it working.
(Thanks @FezzedOne and @Boss.sfc for the temporary AutoDesk acc)

This week on the blog: Sharp bilinear filters, aka "the proper way to magnify pixel art." Building an implementation of this has been on my to-do list for awhile, and "on the tail end of some basic OpenGL shader work" seems like a fine time to actually do that.
Session 1 and source code availble for the new #amiga #assembler baremetal 3D engine done by Proton/Komplex. Some polishing and documenting here an there but a solid foundation for a nice #opengl like pipeline. https://github.com/slouko/Amiga-3D Community contributions and support welcome. Share your benchmarks. Mine was taken on a #pistorm 32 with CM4. Also follow the twitch sessions on https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2493923994
Any #opengl wizard interested in helping me demystifying an incredibly weird bug where an innocuous `glGetIntegerv` call causes an unrelated assertion failure? 🤨
