The viewer looks down through thin tree trunks across a low valley with a slow river running through it. The trees have lost most their leaves. Those that remain are yellowing or orange. The undergrowth is low and somewhat, but not quite, green.

Just returned from a week of #sailing, #ScubaDiving, and #snorkeling in the British Virgin Islands. We sailed around a chain of islands, staying at several, enjoying all aspects of the area. Beautiful sights both above and below the water. Had a great time.

This water entry is referred to as a “giant stride” as it appears that I am taking a big step on the water surface (before I sink in).

I sneaked in a good-weather hike yesterday in the White #Mountains, #NewHampshire just before a wet front moved in. The weather is starting to cool off so I held class outside today! This North American Wheel Bug crashed the discussion. Not a great photo but you can see its amazing mohawk in its shadow.
