Nice walk this afternoon. We saw sun, showers, hale and wind but me, Rosie and Lily stuck it out.
That is Cramond Island in the background.
A weekend rammed with sport kicks off tonight with Scottish Championship Football, and tomorrow is 6 Nations Super Saturday, with all six teams playing and Scotland in with a shout of being tournament winners. Sunday and it's the Chinese Grand Prix.
Need to ca' canny tonight as friends are around tomorrow to watch the rugby, and it will be a long day! So, a couple of wee ones.
Cadenhead's Ardnamurchan 5, Oloroso Cask. NC, NCF, 58.1% ABV.
Packed with red fruit: sweet cherries, strawberries and red currants, and a touch of earthy dunnage. Rich, thick, and mouth-coating, mulled wine with cinnamon, cloves, and orange peel. Jammy with a slight savouriness. Despite its youth, it has incredible complexity and depth.

Storm clouds approach Dunskey Castle. Said to be haunted by a ghostly piper and a servant girl, plus home to a brownie known as The Hairy Man, the castle's clifftop, wave-lashed location has seen turbulent times.

Beautiful day again. This is Linlithgow Palace.
We visited yesterday when there was a small artisan market in the town, and I felt obliged to purchase a small pile of baked products 😊

🏴 People in the Highlands and Islands are set to benefit from cheaper bus travel as a £2 fare cap is introduced this month in #Scotland. The pilot will cover routes across Highland, Moray, Argyll and Bute, and Orkney, following successful launches in Shetland and the Western Isles. Single fares such as Wick to Inverness (£31) and Elgin to Inverness (£15.60) will be capped at £2. First Minister John Swinney visited Inverness Bus Station to announce the rollout, highlighting benefits for rural and low-income communities. The scheme forms part of wider measures, including scrapping peak rail fares and continuing free travel for under-22s, over-60s and disabled passengers, to ease the cost of living.
