A chocolate lynx-point Siamese cat lies napping in a fluffy gray cat bed, which sits atop a fuzzy white throw covering the seat of an old armchair upholstered in faded maroonish fabric. The cat lies in a position some of my cat-loving friends call The Prawn: torso loosely curled, with all legs extended and rear legs folded up close to the torso, in the manner of a prawn tucking its tail under its body. The cat has one of its rear legs so tucked up that its paw winds up near its head; the other rear leg extends out over the cat bed's padded rim and sticks out into thin air. Meanwhile he's got his front legs casually crossed over that extended rear leg... and also crossed over each other, forming a bit of a toe-bean bouquet. Daylight filters in from a window at upper left, highlighting the cat's ivory torso and legs, and revealing his blissful little cat-smile as his head lolls back against the chair's armrest.

He lies on his side, head resting against the seat cushion of the adjacent armchair, legs and tail relaxed and splayed across the ottoman, with a yellow banana-shaped catnip toy cradled between his chin and one front leg. The good lighting on this shot shows off the cat's fur coloration, especially his tabby-striped tail, the streaks of chocolate in his ivory-colored torso, and the little patches of ivory-colored fur on the knuckles of his mostly chocolate point paws.

Please send healing thoughts for Rowdy. I found a lump on his neck last night & made an appt for tomorrow. Since he has an enlarged ♥️, I’m not sure anything can be done, but I won’t let him suffer. Doesn’t seem to bother him right now. #Tuesday #CatsOfMastodon #seniorcat #Cats
