I write about music, books, technology, and politics, these days mostly for The Wire and the Los Angeles Review of Books. I was a longtime #editor at the Brooklyn Rail and at Semiotext(e)/Autonomedia. I play #bass guitar in a bunch of groups (ask me). I've been a #radio DJ/producer at @WFMU for years. I'm a #photographer. For a living I'm a software developer on Wall St. I'm a proud anti-authoritarian lefty (#anarchist, #situationist), and deeply interested in #linguistics.
