Last weekend we presented the 🔮 Tangible Cloud Oracle 🔮 at KBK gallery in Brussels. I only saw it on a screen until then. Great to see how beautiful the cards, booklet and box turned out ❤️

This was so much fun to make and a great collaboration with the amazing Alex Leray (coloring and production), Muriel Gerhart (box design), Ronan Deriez (riso printing) and the participants of the 2022 Tangible Cloud and Art Meets Radical Openness workshops who created the card titles and ideas!

Three modded Smith-Waite tarot cards: Screenless Meditation, Seasonal Computing and Limited Availability.
"A wolf howls at the moon while they are in a video call with a friend. A crayfish shows the wolf a moonlit path to freedom from always having to be available.
A way of computing that is tied to certain moments in the year, cyclical and not always available, only in spring or for the full moon. Based on a conversation with Alice Strete and Cristina Cochior during the project A Traversal Network of Feminist Servers."

A handmade, riso printed card deck called the Tangible Cloud Oracle. On the box a modified tarot card originally called 'the fool' is shown. The card is now called 'Failing Again, Better': an adventurous person blindly follows their phone’s navigation and is about to walk into a ravine. There is hope though: an animal friend warns them and with the map in hand, they possess the knowledge and sense(s) to learn and find their way.

If you have the time, failure can be an opportunity to learn more about a process and become closer to it. Sometimes it’s a shame when things just work.

So a little while back, @laura wrote an excellent introductory book on accessibility and inclusive design called Accessibility for Everyone for A Book Apart.

Then, A Book Apart folded and the authors managed to get their rights back.

And yesterday, after Laura put a huge amount of work adapting the book into a beautiful website she built using Kitten*, we republished the book under Small Technology Foundation Press.

If we fantasize about anything, let us fantasize about making our movements so strong that we will hardly have to kill anyone to overthrow the state and abolish capitalism. This is more becoming of our dignity as partisans of liberation.
