A causa del perdurare del conflitto in Iran, oltre i due aeroporti di Dubai, colpiti anche da alcuni droni, rimangono bloccati anche quello di Abu Dhabi, Doha in Qatar e il Kuwait International Airport. Sono gli snodi fondamentali per i viaggi tra Europa, Africa e Asia. Intanto l’European Union Aviation Safety Agency ha prorogato lo stop ai voli per il Medio Oriente e il Golfo Persico fino al 6 marzo. Questa situazione ha portato a uno stop improvviso del turismo e dei viaggi di lavoro.
Cosa che è accaduta in parte a Jovanotti che porta il suo tour in Australia per esibirsi il 5 marzo a Brisbane (Lyric Theatre) e il 6 marzo ad Adelaide (WOMADelaide Festival). Il tour internazionale è parte del progetto “L’Arca di Loré”.
“Mi trovo a 100 chilometri da Brisbane dove domani terrò il mio primo concerto in Australia. Sono venuto qui con Francesca, – ha affermato in un video su Instagram – abbiamo affittato una macchina e non avevamo previsto che gli aeroporti si sarebbero bloccati per arrivare qui. La mia band è in giro per gli aeroporti, ora sono a Seul, poi andranno a Sydney e poi Brisbane. Sono con bagagli a mano. Ci stiamo organizzando per affittare gli strumenti per suonare a Brisbane e dopodomani ad Adelaide, la musica non è un cosa primaria ma questo facciamo. Domani cercheremo di portare allegria in questa parte di mondo ad un pubblico di italiani o di origine italiana, celebreremo la vita attraverso la musica e aspetto la mia band”.
E ancora: “Certo fare musica in questo momento è una strana attività ma noi facciamo questo. Anni fa visitai l’Iran girandolo in bici per un mese e 10 giorni a Teheran dove mi colpì il desiderio di libertà dei ragazzi e la loro voglia di sentirsi parte di un mondo piu aperto. L’Iran è un paese bellissimo con una cultura meravigliosa e profondissima. Prego per la pace e la libertà di ognuno, ovunque sia nato. Che la dichiarazione universale dei diritti umani (1948) abbia compimento, questo è il compito della mia generazione, ancora disatteso troppe volte”.

Due to the ongoing conflict in Iran, in addition to the two Dubai airports, which were also hit by drones, Abu Dhabi, Doha in Qatar, and the Kuwait International Airport remain blocked. They are key hubs for travel between Europe, Africa, and Asia. Meanwhile, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency has extended the ban on flights to the Middle East and the Persian Gulf until March 6th. This situation has led to a sudden halt to tourism and business travel.
Which has happened in part to Jovanotti who is bringing his tour to Australia to perform on March 5th in Brisbane (Lyric Theatre) and March 6th in Adelaide (WOMADelaide Festival). The international tour is part of the “L’Arca di Loré” project.
“I am 100 kilometers from Brisbane where I will hold my first concert in Australia tomorrow. I came here with Francesca, – he said in a video on Instagram – we rented a car and we did not anticipate that the airports would be blocked to get here. My band is around the airports, now I’m in Seoul, then they’ll go to Sydney and then Brisbane. We’re traveling with carry-on luggage. We are organizing to rent instruments to play in Brisbane and after tomorrow in Adelaide, music isn’t a primary thing but we’re doing this. Tomorrow we’ll try to bring joy to this part of the world to an audience of Italians or of Italian origin, we’ll celebrate life through music and I’m waiting for my band.”
And still: “Certainly making music at this time is a strange activity but we do this. Years ago I visited Iran touring it by bike for a month and 10 days in Tehran where I was struck by the desire for freedom of the young people and their desire to feel part of a more open world. Iran is a beautiful country with a wonderful and profound culture. I pray for the peace and freedom of everyone, wherever they were born. May the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) be fulfilled, this is the task of my generation, still too often unfulfilled.”
