I’ve been watching the first season of #ThePitt, and I’m enjoying. It’s made me think more about life decisions. As a kid, I spent a lot of time in the emergency room, and part of me always wanted to be an ER doctor. Instead did CS/EE and didn’t even finish because first internet bubble landed me job.

I made the right decision. I don’t think I would have survived Covid as an ER doctor. Too demanding physically and mentally.

I'm crazy addicted to #ThePitt at the moment. It's the "continuing adventures of Dr Carter" that I never knew I needed these past 17 years since ER ended.

I spend half of it on the verge of bursting into tears and the other half deeply thankful for the career choices I made.

Didn’t take long for #ThePitt to turn into another boring medical show. The mass casualty event in season 1 was the tip-off that this wouldn’t end well. Graphic “realism” doesn’t compensate for formulaic writing for long. I’m sorry if you were hoping for better. We all were.
