#Iceland day 3. 🇮🇸. Lots of driving and lots of rain. Black sand and columnar basalt beaches, more waterfalls, anxiety over running out of gas, up close and personal with bazillions of puffins, and the northernmost southernmost point in the world.

I tend to be the least squee person in any given room but OMG!!! PUFFINS!!! They are utterly charming.

Hello people! I've been on the Fediverse for couple of years now, so here's my re-#introduction

I'm Ari, better known by my tag APZ and this is my #pinball repair, #arcade and #retrogaming account. I mostly post about playing and repairing pinball machines, but I also work on #retrocomputing with all the classics.

An IT guy by day, I moonlight as a pinball arcade owner here in #finland with my partner @quester. This is purely a hobby of mine, I do this to keep my sanity and to keep pinball alive for the next generations of players. At the moment I own a bit over 30 pinball machines from 70s to 2020s.

A lot of what I do involves #electronics, #CAD for now obsolete parts and #3dprinting and tabletop #cnc to recreate them.

I love to #travel, usually to meet like-minded arcade collectors. I have a strong preference to #repair stuff instead of throwing it away. I'm a #linux user since mid-90s, having been part of #foss movement most of my life. I also edit arcade related videos.

I'm a #nonbinary #transmasc #lgbtqia person in my late 30s, I live in #Finland and pretty much toot in English.

I've been with my partner @apzpins for over 16 years, we run a #pinball arcade together as a hobby. We have two elderly #cats who also get shared on here on the occasion.

I play a lot of #VideoGames, especially #RPGs and post about my progress, usually with pictures or videos.

I enjoy #travel, I've been to 13 different countries so far. I also enjoy meeting people from all around the world.

I do a lot of #crafts especially when the weather is bad. I #knit, #crochet and #CrossStitch

I'm a #chef by profession, I love good #food and great #coffee. I've been working at a student cafe on a uni campus for almost 7 years.

I like #cycling and try to keep some sort of condition with it. We have pretty good cycling routes in my home town. Photo evidence is shared on the occasion.

Finally! A new #bookmaking project! We discovered traveller’s notebooks this year. Love the concept but wanted to have one that was #vegan AND not made of plastic. I also wanted to make my own inserts. These are prototypes to see if the concept could work. I am so proud of these! I learned a great deal and am planning on making a larger one for A5 notebooks.

Yeah, white male IT professional. There's a million of us on Mastodon, figuratively. I'm trying not to be that "tech bro". Trying not to be that performative ally who runs when their friends are in trouble. Trying not to be that mansplainer who talks over women. Trying not to be that guy I've been the last thirty years... Even if it's no longer the goal of men like me under US Fascism.

This can't be the world we made. There has to be something better than this.

I am a #BlueLivingInARedState and making plans to leave it (Texas) soon. I look forward to living in a place where 50% of the people voted for Kamala instead of 50. Fight fascism. It might be the last fight left for many of us.
