As record collectors, we all have our weird tendencies as music fans.
This record would fall under one of mine…

Three O’Clock High is one of my favorite movies EVER. In my 20’s, while hitting on girls at bars or shows, I would tell them my name is “Buddy Revell”. 😂

I already own an ORIGINAL 1987 pressing of this. Not just because I love this movie, but because I love Tangerine Dream. Particularly the music they made for films.

So why did I buy this?
Because I wanted the huge poster.
That’s it.
No other reason.

Welcome to record collecting.
It’s hilarious.

By the way, if you havent seen Three O’Clock High, you’re life will remain empty and unfulfilled until you do.

How many copies do you have to sell at, say, $25 + s&h to make a vinyl pressing break even?

Because I'd pay, up front, to buy a #bonkwave compilation on #vinyl

Of course the compilations are 2 or 3 discs now. Hmm

I seem to recall there was a service that would do on demand pressing if you had a certain sized preorder...

In my spare time I:
- Collect (and listen to) #music , preferably #vinyl. Some of my favorite genres are #drumnbass #hiphop #metal #dubstep etc.
- I like to visit #concerts and #festivals
- I play #pool (sometimes #snooker)
- Install all sorts of #selfhosted tools, like mastodon.world / fediland.nl (Misskey)/ fotofed.nl (Pixelfed) / h-y-p-e-r.space (Matrix)
- Watch tv-shows
- Listen to books / podcasts

Soooooo about three months ago my partner and I took the plunge into #vinyl as we were becoming so disillusioned with streaming and the internet being our only source of entertainment.
Over the course of these three months so far, we’ve been to a good number of vinyl shops, just the tip of the iceberg, but still a fair number.
In this I’ve decided to start a review thread of all the places we’ve been to.
