There is no underestimating how vulnerable our dependency on U.S.-based payment systems has made us. We need to emancipate ourselves these systems ASAP, as Europe is doing, or our financial system could be in serious jeopardy. Maybe we could do this by signing onto Europe's EPI system or maybe by finally investing in our own tech startups?
