Fantastic few hours at RSPB Ham Wall today on our way to The Photography and Video Show. However we did have to shelter from a heavy shower 😂 At one point it was quite wintry ❄️

The Batman Hoverfly (Myathropa florea) is easily recognised from the famous batman symbol on its thorax. This species prefers woodland areas but favours feeding on umbellifers usually found on woodland margins. Larvae feed on bacteria in damp rot-holes or crevices near the base of trees.

Grosbeaks are occasional visitors to the garden. Numerous last year near the feader, this year we have not seen any.

I recently added the Catnip Massage Chair to help support all of the Spooky Kitties Ferals summer Trash Panda Reefer Madness time. I, of course, expected that it would be used by the raccoons to simplify getting up onto the shelf, as they did with the way less stable storage container. Guess which method they actually used?

Wing Chun Masters - Featherweight class

🇦🇹 Schaut aus wie ein Kampf, war tatsächlich aber eine Beinahe-Unfall. Der Rechte Schwan kam von hinten und wollte gerade starten, der Linke kam von rechts geflogen und ist gewassert und dem anderen direkt vor den Schnabel "geschossen" 🙂

🇬🇧 Looks like a fight, but it was actually a near accident. The swan on the right came from behind and was just about to take off, while the one on the left flew in from the right, landed on the water, and shot right in front of the other one's beak. 🙂
