#WordWeavers 20. Jan: Do you make use of weather in your story? If so, how?
Last night walking dogs with my husband. As I talk to him about demons and magic, walking him through a scene I was struggling with, the sky suddenly comes alive with these bright green flares, as visible as they are to the naked eye as they are in this picture.
Now this is the kind of dramatic underpinning, that I enjoy with my #writing! First time I have seen #northernlights like that, and they now will definitely find a place in my story!
Aside from this dramatic moment, that needed to be shared! Yes, I love using weather and seasons in my writing to set the scene and the mood in a scene. Or contrast it too. Sunlight glittering through leaves, thick fog to wade through, characters riding across hard frozen ground, and now the sky lighting up in a bright green. I enjoy painting a picture with the weather.
